This simple sweater
can be surprisingly elegant. Uncomplicated garter stitch worked
cuff to cuff at a loose gauge makes an almost lace-like fabric
that blocks easily for a custom sized sweater. Two length
options are givenfor hip or tunic length. Another fun
option is a cowl neck that can be attached or not! If knit
with a variegated or striping yarn, the stripes run vertically
for a slimming effect. The sleeves can be gently blocked longer
to accommodate a roll back cuff. So many options for such
an easy sweater!
Due to the nature
of this design, it may block out bigger or not block out as
much depending on the fiber used. The softness of the yarn
will greatly affect the drape and how the sweater holds its
shape with wear. Also note that the edgings will look ruffled
until the sweater is fully blocked.
